Put Your Kids in a Story – MyFairyTaleBooks Review

my fairy tale books review 1

My daughter loves to read. It’s something that we tried to instill in her from a very early age by starting to read to her every day from the day she was born. And, we’ve succeeded. I always find her with her nose in a book (usually, a princess book!).

And, she loves to listen to music. The CD player in her room is on constantly – including all night long (because she HAS to listen to “Let it Go” on repeat, you know). We even burned out the motor on her first CD player! So, when I got the chance to review a product from MyFairyTaleBooks, I was REALLY excited! I’ve always wanted my daughter to have one of those books in which you child is the character, and that’s just what these books are!

There are SO many personalized books, CDs and other products to choose from that I had a really hard time deciding. I finally went with “The Ballerina Princess” book that comes with the Disney Princess Tea Party CD. The package arrived quickly, and I was SO excited to show it to Lucy!

First, I gave her the book. When she opened it and saw her name, she gasped. Then, she grinned from ear-to-ear when I showed her the names of her friends from ballet class! She couldn’t believe the book had her best ballet friends’ names in it! Honestly, I loved it, too. I know that this is a book she will treasure forever because she’ll always remember her closest friends from her first ballet class.

Then, we went into her room and played the CD. I wish I had had the video camera on my phone going to capture her reaction. She gasped SO loud when Belle said, “Bonjour, Lucy! It’s me, Belle!” and screamed, “Mommy! BELLE SAID MY NAME!” It seriously brought tears to my eyes. She listened to that track over and over since Belle is her favorite princess of all time (with the exception of Elsa and Anna, of course)! She loves to listen to it on a regular basis and hear the princesses talking to her!

I am SO happy with the products we received! Every child should have a personalized book, so I’m thinking these will make great Christmas presents for my niece and nephews!

Does your child have a book personalized with his or her name? If not, have you been wanting to get one?
